INTERNSHIP AVAILABILITY

Internships are designed to provide introductions to professional practice and are of immeasurable value for those students without experience.

Traditionally, an internship is a relatively long-term paid position. However, these days students are obtaining short-term internships as a way to earn credits toward their degrees, and these do not offer pay, but experience in exchange. Some internships are very specialized, focusing, for instance, on event management of a certain event only, or may be quite general and involve a variety of responsibilities. Some are designed as recruitment tools to attract highly qualified and motivated professionals into a particular job.

Through WIC, ASC students can work with the internship coordinator to help match the students with businesses who need them. Students seeking credit must contact Teri Halliday for a list of available internships at (702) 433-0626 x206, then register the internship through their advisor.
