Traffic Coordinator
Position Description
SUMMARY:
The Traffic Coordinator is a member of the Corporate Support Team and is responsible for the interactions financially and practically with the Business and Finance department, Broadcast operations, Corporate Support, Programming, and Development. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to- Accounts receivable, collections follow-up and other finance and development duties as assigned, Corporate Support customer service and satisfaction, Marketron operation (including A/R, contract input and management of files), writing underwriting copy, maintenance of the on-air. As a member of the Corporate Support Team, duties will include tasks related to the corporate support, marketing, and sales functions within the organization. Reports to the Corporate Support Manager
DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES:
Programming-
Editing copy
Copy must be monitored and edited to comply with FCC rules and Nevada Public Radio Corporation style.
Marketron Operation (copy and cart number logs)
Copy and information regarding spot times and placement will be entered into these programs in a timely manner.
Maintaining On-Air Logs
Construct and maintain logs for on-air announcers. Daily Maintenance of these files keeps the station running smoothly. Consistent and meticulous data entry and management of the system ensures on-air success. After information has been entered into Marketron, the logs must be moved into audio vault so that the programming department can create the underwriting or promotional spots.
Management of the on-air promotion calendar
Coordinate effective use of available on-air time with development and programming.
Assembly of station logs
All information, times and records must be kept for future reference. Organization and accuracy is a must.
Discrepancy Logs
Spots must be reconciled when unused. This process takes place within Marketron.
