The biggest party in history is set to take place in 2005 – right here in Las Vegas as the city celebrates its 100th birthday. At the January Las Vegas Women in Communications luncheon, we’ll get an insider’s look at all the festivities.

Stacy Allsbrook, executive director of the Las Vegas Centennial Celebration, and Lori Nelson, associate director of public relations at R&R Partners, will be the guest speakers at the next Las Vegas Women in Communications luncheon, to take place on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show mall. “Schmoozing” begins at 11:30am .

Las Vegas ’ 100th birthday celebration started over New Year’s weekend with an incredible fireworks display in the valley, and with a gorgeous float in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Throughout the year, Las Vegas residents and visitors will participate in some 300 events.

Stacy and Lori will reveal plans for the year, tell us who is involved via sponsorships and partnerships, and what Las Vegans can expect inside and outside of the valley. It’s all part of a 20-month marketing plan that is very integrated and PR-driven -- a textbook study on the communications process.
