Living & Doing Business in Northwest Las Vegas – A 2006 Preview

TOM WARDEN OF THE
HOWARD HUGHES COPORATION
KICKS OFF 2006 WITH
WOMEN IN COMMUNICATION ON
JANUARY 19TH!

  • Remember, when driving westward on Charleston Boulevard, there were no buildings or businesses once you passed Rainbow?
  • Remember when Summerlin was a brand new community – with not a single STARBUCKS?
  • Remember when residents of Summerlin said, “Boy, if only we had one or two more restaurants!”

Times have certainly changed in the northwest portion of the valley, thanks to the growth and vision of the Howard Hughes Corporation.

Tom Warden, Vice President of Community and Government Relations for The Howard Hughes Corporation, an affiliate of general Growth Properties, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, will be the featured speaker at the next Women in Communication Luncheon, to be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006 (note date change) at 11:30am at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show.

He will update and educate luncheon guests with a fantastic, informative, and interactive preview of what we can expect in the Summerlin area over the next few years, as well as other large-scale Southern Nevada residential, commercial, and retail development projects that the Howard Hughes Corporation is currently engaged in.

Mr. Warden oversees the development and implementation of marketing, community and public relations for all Hughes properties, which includes the master-planned community of Summerlin and Hughes Center. He is also responsible for Government Affairs focusing on federal issues.

Long-time Southern Nevadans remember Tom Warden as an Emmy Winning reporter and news anchor for KLAS tv8. He also served three years as Director of Public Communications for Clark County, prior to joining the Howard Hughes Corporation in 1999.

Tom is very active in the community, serving on the Governor’s Commission for National and Community Service, as well as the executive board of the Outside Las Vegas Foundation. He is chairman of the board of the Summerlin Children’s Forum, member of the Business Community Investment Council, president of the board of directors of CLASS! Publications, member of the Clark County School District Partnership Advisory Board, and is a representative on many other community boards.

Wherever you live or do business in Southern Nevada, Tom Warden’s years of marketing experience and genuine knowledge of our great city will make our January WIC meeting one to remember.

Please note the special date – January 19, 2006 – the 3rd Thursday of the New Year.
