Jane Ann, one of the foremost columnists in the State of Nevada will be the keynote speaker at our next Women in Communication Luncheon, to be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show. Schmoozing starts at 11:30am.
Jane Ann has worked in newspapers since 1971. Her first job was as a clerk/copykid at the Christian Science Monitor in Boston, Mass. In 1973, she moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas to work for the Southwest Times Record, where she covered a university professor running for Congress named Bill Clinton. She moved to Las Vegas to work for the Las Vegas Review-Journal figuring Las Vegas was a good place for a couple of years. That was 1976. She started with night cops, worked as a feature writer, moved to the federal court, then gaming. She left the RJ in 1986 to become the Las Vegas bureau for the Reno Gazette Journal and returned to the RJ in 1990 as the political reporter. In 2003, she became she first female general interest columnist for the RJ.
Truly a woman in communication who has her pulse on the Las Vegas community, Jane Ann Morrison is a speaker in high demand, and we are honored to have her as our WIC Keynote Speaker for April.
