Women in Communication is proud to have one of our own, Diane Dickerson, be our featured guest speaker at our May luncheon, to be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Maggiano's in the Fashion Show.     Schmoozing starts at 11:30am.

Diane has been in the marketing and advertising profession for more than 30 years in such major markets as Washington, D.C., Denver, New York and Los Angeles. She returned to her hometown of Las Vegas in 1985 and became owner/partner of what was to become the second largest advertising agency in the State of Nevada, Merica Dickerson Advertising and Public Relations.  Diane also owned a media buying company, Outback Media.  She oversaw the advertising, marketing and strategic planning activities of more than 50 of Nevada’s most successful businesses.

She sold her share in this agency in 1998 and has served as an independent marketing, business management and strategic planning consultant in Las Vegas, Southern California and Phoenix.  A year ago, when Diane’s non-compete was finally up, she opened her “Dream Agency,” a Boutique Advertising Agency focused on providing incredible creative and impeccable service.  Diane is President & CEO of “The Dickerson Group.”  She says she is having more fun professionally than she has had in years. 

Diane has been highly active in the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce for more than 20 years.  She served as Chairman of the organization in 1997 and is currently the President of the Past Chairman’s Council.

Diane has spent a great deal of time giving back to the community she is so proud to call her “hometown”. Plus – here is a little known fact about Diane: She is a fourth generation Nevadan, with her Grandfather serving as Governor of the State in the early 1900’s.
