of the Oxygen Network’s Fight Girls


Every time you turn on the television – you see a reality program. And you wonder …. just how real are these shows, and why are they sooooooooooo popular?

Lisa King, star of the upcoming reality show Fight Girls, on the Oxygen Network, will be the keynote speaker at our next Women in Communication Luncheon, to be held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show. Schmoozing begins at 11:30am.

Lisa is a mother of two and a native of Las Vegas. She is truly a woman who enjoys embracing new challenges and strives for excellence in all that she does. Her extensive and diverse background has enabled her to accomplish great strides and success in her careers of choice.

Lisa has earned a strong reputation over the years in the marketing industry by holding key positions within Fortune 500 companies, including Gannett Publications in Las Vegas. Her extensive experience in advertising, public relations and sales with top-level executives has given her valuable skills in any corporate setting.

In addition to her experience in business, Lisa has gained significant notoriety as a full contact Muay Thai fighter. She has been featured on ESPN’s I’d do Anything, the film Ring Girls, the Oxygen Network’s 2006 movie Fight Girls, and the four-volume Muay Thai Instructional DVD Series Vicious Vixens.

This month, Lisa returns to the Oxygen Network, as one of the stars of the 8-week reality TV series Fight Girls, which begins airing June 12th, the same week as our WIC Luncheon.

By the way, Lisa is currently ranked 3rd in the United States in her weight division per the WIKBA rankings and 15th in the World.

Lisa still remains connected to the corporate world and has recently opened her own consulting service, Translucent Marketing, providing consultation and project management related to business development, media buying, and public relations.
