COME MEET AND HEAR

National Television Host, Local News Personality, and Author

JOHN DALY

Author of the new book,
The ROIL System: How to Be Well-Informed in a Media Biased World

If you are a long time Las Vegan, you remember John Daly as the main anchor on KTNV/tv13 in the early to mid 90s. Many more know John as the host of the syndicated Real TV and House Detective on HGTV.

However, many people do not know that he is an internationally known spokesperson, screenwriter, actor, and producer. Now, he can add “author” to his impressive resume.

John Daly will be our guest speaker at the September luncheon of Working in Communication, to be held Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show. “Schmoozing” begins at 11:30am.

John is a graduate of Providence College, and his career has taken him to news jobs in New Bern, North Carolina; Providence, Rhode Island; Hartford, Connecticut; and Las Vegas, where he was the main anchor and managing editor at KTNV/tv13. After six years in Las Vegas, John made an unprecedented jump from the 68 th television market to the national and international spotlight for the role as anchor of Real TV, the all-video magazine distributed by Paramount Domestic Television.

John’s newest venture is as the author of The ROIL System: How To Be Well-Informed in a Media Biased World. John developed the ROIL System – which means, “Read, Observe, Interview and Learn” throughout his years as a journalist. At our September WIC Meeting, John will show us how to become as informed as most journalists by using this system during our normal daily routine. John will even help us understand media bias. His talk won’t chance your beliefs or politics, but it will change the way you think.

Please take note of the special date: September 22nd to meet and enjoy John Daly. Reservations are needed by Tuesday, September 20th. Bring the entire office! Bring your clients too!
