	WOMEN IN COMMUNICATION WELCOMES SOPHIA CHOI TO BE THE NOVEMBER KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THE WIC LUNCHEON ON NOVEMBER 8TH! Former National News Anchor, who now calls Las Vegas home, has an amazing story to tell as a Women in Communication

The Las Vegas Market scored a major coup when KVBC/tv3 announced that former CNN Headline News Anchor Sophia Choi would be joining the station as their 4:00pm and 6:00pm anchor.
Women in Communication is happy to welcome Sophia to the Las Vegas Advertising Community, and is honored that she will be our keynote speaker at the next WIC Luncheon, to be held on Thursday, November 08, 2007 at Maggiano’s in the Fashion Show. Schmoozing begins at 11:30am.

Sophia has an amazing story to tell – as a national news anchor – and as a woman in the news business.

Prior to joining KVBC, Sophia was a primary anchor for CNN Headline News, where she co-anchored the network's coverage of the Columbia Space Shuttle tragedy in 2003, and the ongoing war in Iraq. In 2005 she was on the scene as hurricane Wilma made landfall in Southern Florida.

Before joining CNN Headline News,Sophia co-hosted the CBS 2 Morning Show at KCBS in Los Angeles. During her tenure at KCBS she created, wrote, produced and hosted weekly Hometown Hero segments that profiled citizens in L.A. County who were making positive differences in their community.
In her spare time, whenever she has any, she is an avid cook, gardener, and home renovator.

Sophia has had some great moments in her national career, and she hopes to have many more as “one of us” here in Las Vegas. Come welcome Sophia Choi to Southern Nevada on November 08th.
